Joanne Y. Schroth, 92, of Bridgeville, Pa., passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2024, at Passavant Residential Community in Zelienople.

She was born on Aug. 14, 1932, in Butler, to the late Richard and Louise (Whittaker) Yost.

Joanne graduated from Butler High School in 1950. She was the vice president of Soffer Organization, being the property manager of Penn Center West of Pittsburgh, until her retirement. She was a member of the volunteer committee at Southwinds Inc. Joanne enjoyed reading, traveling, spending time with her friends and family, and was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. She was also a loyal member of the Ruthfred Lutheran Church of Bethel Park.

Joanne is survived by her daughter, Terry (Doug) Anderson; as well as her cousins and niece.

In addition to her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by her son, Bradley Schroth; as well as her brother, Richard Yost Jr.

SCHROTH — A visitation for Joanne Y. Schroth, who died Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2024, will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Bryce McMinn, of Ruthfred Lutheran Church, officiating.

Burial will take place at Gruenwald Cemetery.

Donations may be made in Joanne’s memory to the Ruthfred Lutheran Church, 3401 S. Park Road, Bethel Park, PA 15102, www.ruthfred.org.
