Travis Claypoole

Travis David Claypoole, 23, of Hilliards, passed away the morning of Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2024, after a courageous fight with cancer.

Born on Jan. 28, 2001, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Jason David Claypoole and Candy (Craig) Claypoole.

Travis was a graduate of Moniteau High School, Class of 2019, where he was a member of the football team. He also graduated from the auto repair program at Butler County Area Vocational-Technical School. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing with friends. He enjoyed riding his side-by-side and playing video games. Most of all, he loved hanging out with his family. He was most recently employed in Slippery Rock at Allegheny Mineral as an operator.

Travis is survived by his parents, Jason and Candy Claypoole; his twin brother, Tyler Claypoole; maternal grandmother, Mary Craig of Chicora; paternal grandparents, Van and Nancy Claypoole of Hilliards; and paternal grandmother, Rose Bergbigler of Butler. He is also survived by an aunt, Misty Sofi; two uncles, Randy (Char) Craig and Les (Diana) Craig; and many cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Gary Craig; and paternal grandfather, Jeff Bergbigler.

CLAYPOOLE — Family and friends of Travis David Claypoole, who died Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2024, will be received for visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at WILLIAM F. YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.

Funeral services will be held privately at the funeral home with Mr. Dennis Edinger officiating. Burial will be private in Rosewood Cemetery, Ridgeville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home for funeral expenses.
