Students at St. Wendelin Catholic School interacted with a more experienced generation on Monday, Sept. 9, at the school’s annual Grandparents and Grandfriends Day.

Principal JoLynne Clouse said more than 100 family and friends attended the special event.

Grandparents there to participate in activities with their grandsons and granddaughters also served as “Grandfriends” to students whose grandparents were unable to attend.

Activities at the event were intended to reach across the two generations so the students and the visitors could learn about one another.

Clouse said a “grand” day was had by all.
