Lynn Herbert “Herb” Campbell, 81, of Hooker, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2024.

He was born in Hooker on Jan. 5, 1943, to the late Paul and Lillian “Shirley” (Gibson) Campbell. Herb graduated from Moniteau High School and honorably served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was employed as a welder at Pullman Standard and was a mechanic for Hunter Truck Sales.

He was the father of Candace S. Mertzeis-Campbell, David L. Campbell and Paula D. Campbell; brother of David Campbell and Mildred Martarella; and grandfather of Erin Herron, Adam and Amber Campbell.

CAMPBELL — All services for Lynn Herbert “Herb” Campbell, who died Thursday, Sept. 12, 2024, were held privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
