Dorothy Marie Minehart, 89, of Slippery Rock, Worth Township, passed away at her residence Friday, Sept. 13, 2024. She was born in North Braddock on Sept. 27, 1934, and was the daughter of Guy Dominic DeVincent and Barbara Pupik DeVincent.

She married James Edward Minehart on Oct. 8, 1955, and he preceded her in death in 1997. She graduated from North Braddock High School and worked with Blueprints for the Westinghouse Corporation. She later worked for five years for Catholic Social Services as a care provider. She worked as an assembler for Adams Manufacturing until her retirement in 1999. She was a voracious reader, enjoying mysteries. She enjoyed watching Pittsburgh sports, especially the Steelers. “She always put her family first.” She was a member of St. Faustina Parish and attended St. Peter Church.

Survivors include daughter, Cindy M. (Frank) Puvak of Concord, N.C.; son, Timothy E. Minehart of Slippery Rock; grandchildren, Dan Puvak, Jaimie Wilson, Meagan Scott and Samantha Arndorfer-Grossman; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; infant daughter, Judy; infant son, James; daughters, Elizabeth Larnino, age 51; and Susan Arndorfer-Grossman, age 48.

MINEHART — The family of Dorothy Marie Minehart, who died Friday, Sept. 13, 2024, will receive friends from 10 a.m. until noon Saturday at the SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.

A funeral Mass will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Peter Church, 670 S. Main St., Slippery Rock, with the Rev. Sean M. Francis, senior parochial vicar of St. Faustina Parish, officiating.

Interment will be in Slippery Rock Cemetery, Slippery Rock.
