Pennsylvania AG launches online portal for companies required to report data breaches
An online portal aimed to streamline the process for companies and other entities reporting data breaches is up and running, according to Pennsylvania Attorney General Michelle Henry.
Companies will be required under Pennsylvania law to report any breaches to the Office of Attorney General beginning Sept. 26, Henry said in a news release Monday. The affected companies include credit reporting companies or other entities that hold on to personal data.
Entities can access the portal via the Office of the Attorney General’s website at Report a Data Breach to the OAG – PA Office of Attorney General where they will be guided through a step-by-step process to submit required information about the breach.
