Another McDonald’s Restaurant may be opening in Butler County.

The new McDonald’s came up for discussion at the Butler County Planning Commission meeting on Thursday, Sept. 19, and was also discussed at an Adams Township planning commission meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 7.

Talks are underway to bring a brand-new location, with a drive-thru, to Adams Township, in the Adams Corners shopping center on Route 228, near the Mars Area School District.

The McDonald’s would feature 39 parking spaces, including two spaces compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act, as well as a two-lane drive-thru, which is common at newer McDonald’s restaurants.

Adams Corners already features a Sheetz which opened in October 2022, as well as a GetGo which opened the following year and an Aldi grocery store.

According to minutes posted on the township’s website, representing McDonald’s at that meeting was Pittsburgh-based surveying firm MDM Surveyors and Engineers LLC.

For now, the closest McDonald’s restaurants to Adams Township are located in Cranberry Township — one at the Cranberry Commons shopping center and another on Perry Highway.
