Special attractions at the Mars Applefest include:

Mars Farmers Market is a collection of local growers that will offer their vegetables, fruits, jams, jellies, and homemade creations.

Masonic Lodge Pancake Breakfast is hosted at the John E. Mair Lodge, 340 Clay Avenue, across the railroad tracks. Breakfast is served from 7:30 a.m. to noon.

Mars Area History and Landmark Society is a must and while visiting take a ride on the Mars Shortline Railroad, 1 Brickyard Road. Hours are noon to 4 p.m.

Mars Area Public Library and the Friends of the Library are hosting a fall book sale. Doors open at 9 a.m. at the library, 107 Grand Avenue.

NexTier Bank Challenges include corn hole and a giant, Connect Four Game. There will be a duck pond for children.

Advance Community Church will host a wonderland of inflatable slides and playgrounds for children with complimentary hamburgers and hot dogs.
