Grove City College’s Showcase Series is bringing the Air Force Strings to campus for a free concert at 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30, in Ketler Auditorium of the Pew Fine Arts Center.

The Air Force Strings is the official string ensemble of the U.S. Air Force and is one of six musical ensembles comprising the U.S. Air Force Band. Featuring 18 musicians, the group performs various musical styles including classical, Broadway classic rock, bluegrass and patriotic music.

In addition to its wide-ranging flexibility and reputation for excellence, this ensemble aims to break down political barriers and encourage global cultural dialogue as international musical ambassadors, according to a news release from the college.

The concert is free. Tickets are available at the venue on the day of the show.
