Police Reports

The following items were collected from various police departments.

Adams Twp

Aug. 26 — Daniel C. Oliverio, 27, of Mars, was charged with felony possessing stolen property and misdemeanor counts of drug possession, drug paraphernalia possession and possessing an offensive weapon related to a medical call Sept. 18, 2022, on Gray Lane. Police said that while they were at the home, they found marijuana, prescription drugs, assorted drug paraphernalia and multiple guns, all belonging to Oliverio. Among the guns, police said they found one stolen pistol and an unregistered short-barrel rifle.

Aug. 24 — Anthony J. Giannetti, 38, of Seven Fields, was charged with felony strangulation and misdemeanors of simple assault, harassment, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and obstructing law enforcement related to an Aug. 23 incident on Hilltop Court. Police said Giannetti shoved a woman to the ground and choked her, and when officers confronted him, he charged at them. Police said Giannetti continued resisting officers and was shocked with a Taser.

Jackson Twp

Aug. 29 — Nguyen J. Hoa Nguyen, 19, of Cranberry Township, was charged with misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct related to a domestic incident on Evans City Road. Police said Nguyen loaded a shotgun with unknown intent in front of friends who had to wrestle it from him.

Aug. 25 — Adam C. Mills, 44, of Zelienople, was charged with misdemeanor counts of harassment and terroristic threats related to an Aug. 25 domestic incident on Woodsman Ridge Drive. Police said Mills made threats to his estranged wife and her friends who all arrived to pick up some things from the home.

Middlesex Twp

Aug. 21 — Megan K. Tristani, 48, of Valencia, was charged with one misdemeanor count of leaving the scene of a vehicle accident related to an Aug. 9 crash on Browns Hill Road. Police said Tristani hit the Housing Redevelopment stone sign, a street sign and a utility pole, then left the scene.

Aug. 21 — Matthew G. Born, 42, of Valencia, was charged with misdemeanor counts of criminal mischief and possessing drug paraphernalia related to an Aug. 12 report of a man punching the caller’s car on Overbrook Road. Police said that during an argument with his sister, Born punched her vehicle, and during his arrest, police found 10 stamp bags of suspected heroin in Born’s toolbox.

Slippery Rock

Aug. 22 — Mark J. Beres, 64, of Slippery Rock, was charged with one felony count of failure to verify address or be photographed related to his inclusion on the Megan’s Law registry. Police said they received an Aug. 21 notice that Beres failed to comply with reporting requirements.

State Police, Mercer

Aug. 27 — Maria J. Rock, 33, of East Butler, was charged with misdemeanor retail theft related to a March 21, 2023, incident at Boscov’s in Center Township. Police said Rock tried to steal about $600 worth of items but dropped the bags and ran when confronted by store employees.

Aug. 26 — Matthew T. Teorsky, 35, of Springdale, was charged with misdemeanor DUI related to an Aug. 8 traffic stop on Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township. Police said a blood test showed Teorsky’s blood alcohol content at 0.194%. In Pennsylvania, 0.08% is the legal limit.

Zelienople

Aug. 26 — Caden J. Hill, 18, of Evans City, was charged with misdemeanor fleeing from officers related to a brief chase July 21. Police said they attempted to pull Hill’s vehicle over, but Hill accelerated into multiple turns. Police said they ceased the chase for safety reasons but later identified Hill as the driver.
