A two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of New Castle Road and Eighth Avenue in Butler, resulting in traffic delays Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 24.

The crash, reported around 3:30 p.m., involved a black Subaru Forester and a gray Honda Fit.

The accident resulted in one-lane alternating traffic along New Castle Road for roughly a half-hour before the scene was cleared. Both cars were towed away shortly after 4 p.m.

The Butler City Police, Butler Bureau of Fire, and Butler Ambulance Service responded to the scene. No one from the police or fire departments was available for comment, but the police department is expected to issue a news release later on Tuesday.
