WINFIELD TWP — Supervisors during a meeting Thursday, Sept. 28, approved an amended series of plans from Quality Life Services for an independent-living duplex on its Iron Bridge Road senior living facility.

Quality Life Services was originally approved to build the duplex during the supervisors meeting April 25, after a public hearing held the previous month. The duplex is intended for independent-living rentals.

According to Supervisor Matthew Klabnik, the revision was necessary due to a mistake on the original plan drawings.

“We had previously approved the drawing for the location of the duplex, and they had mislabeled the setback on their drawings,” Klabnik said. “When they realized their mistake, they asked us if we would do the revision to have the drawing meet the setback, and they repositioned the building.”

Klabnik said the building, which is a modular construction, is already near completion, and it may appear on the planned building site as soon as next week. He credited Lenape Technical Institute in Armstrong County for putting the building together.

“It’s a modular, so they’re dropping it next week,” Klabnik said. “It’s built off-site and then they bring it and they bolt it together.”
