Double

Bruce D. Double, 67, of Renfrew, passed away, Thursday, Sept. 26, 2024, in the comfort of his home, with his family.

He was born April 30, 1957, in Butler, a son of the late Dean Double and Dorothy (Powers) Double.

Bruce graduated from high school then went into the U.S. Navy, serving from 1975 until 1979. He retired from the AK Steel plant in Butler in 2016. He loved hunting, camping, riding his Harley and enjoyed drinking Budweiser by bonfires with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Lawana Kim (Deal) Double; three stepchildren, Billy O. Bookhamer, Kristopher Lee Bookhamer and Keri K. Pavelek; eight grandchildren; four sisters, Deborah Small, Marsha Lonchena, Sherry Cochran and Tammy Calhoun; and numerous nieces and nephews.

His dad’s last quote was “He was the best son ever.”

DOUBLE — Private services and burial for Bruce D. Double who died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2024, will be held for his family.
