Requests open to use Butler Township’s recreational field
The recreational field being built by Butler Township is now taking booking requests for its use, according to the township manger.
Butler Township manager Tom Knights said Monday, Sept. 23, that the township has already gotten requests from organizations looking to use the field, which is located in Pullman Center Business Park. The township estimated in August that the field would be ready for bookings some time after Labor Day.
Knights said organizations looking to book the field can contact him at the township office with requests. The office has already gotten several requests for use of the field, and Knights said township administrators will work to accommodate requests.
“We're trying in the interest of fairness to distribute the days,” Knights said. “We certainly have gotten quite a few requests to use it.”
There is still more construction to be done on the planned recreation complex within Pullman Center Business Park, including the installation of a concession stand and restroom facilities.
