Butler Township police are investigating a theft from a vehicle that was ransacked Thursday evening, Sept. 26.

The vehicle was parked in the 100 block of West Metzger Avenue when someone entered and stole a green backpack, ammunition and medical supplies, police said.

Police are reminding residents to lock their vehicles and report any suspicious activity or people loitering at night.
