Leslie Easler
Leslie S. Easler, 65, of Butler, Penn Township, formerly Hampton and Elderton, Pa., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2024.
She was the beloved daughter of Audrey Ashbrook Kaufman and the late Richard Kaufman; loving wife of 42 years of Sylvan “Champ” Easler Jr; devoted mother of Sylvan Ben Easler (Kait) and Aaron Easler; sister of Mark Kaufman; daughter-in-law of Sylvia Cvetic Easler and the late Sylvan L. Easler; sister-in-law of Sylvon Jackson (Jay) and Shari Ashton (Dave). She was also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, Leslie brought her strong work ethic and dedication to her role as manager of the family business, Alternative Power Sources, alongside her husband, Champ, for over 25 years. Her commitment to excellence in her professional life was only matched by her devotion to her family, friends and community. Her home and garden were not only immaculate and beautiful but also a reflection of her love for creating comfort and joy for those around her. She found peace and inspiration in her garden, and the care she took in cultivating both her plants and relationships was evident in every corner of her life.
Leslie’s zest for life extended to the outdoors, where she embraced hobbies such as water skiing, biking, and swimming. Whether gliding across a lake or enjoying a quiet evening at home, Leslie lived with a heart full of faith, joy and generosity. Her faith in the Lord guided her in every aspect of her life, inspiring her to give freely of her time, talents and treasures. She was a source of wisdom and strength for those around her, often lending a listening ear, a warm smile and the kind of advice that could only come from a life well-lived.
Leslie’s generosity was boundless and quietly profound. She touched countless lives with her kindness, whether through small, thoughtful gestures or her support of various charitable causes. Her generosity, both tangible and spiritual, was a testament to the boundless love she had for her family, friends and the world around her. In her presence, people felt cared for, seen and uplifted — a true reflection of her enduring spirit of selflessness and service.
