Eva Jean Pittock, 92, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 29, 2024, in Grove City.

Born on Nov. 20, 1931, to Waldo and Mary Holloway Young, Eva lived a life marked by dedication to her family and community.

Eva graduated from Butler High School and went on to make significant contributions to the workforce in Grove City. She was a familiar face at The Spot Restaurant in Harrisville, before moving on to the payroll department of Cooper Bessemer, where she was known for her meticulousness and strong work ethic.

Outside of her professional life, Eva was devoted to her home and family. Eva married the love of her life, James L. Pittock, on May 19, 1979. They enjoyed 42 years of companionship and marriage. Eva took immense pleasure in traveling and cherished the time spent with her loved ones. Her role as a homemaker was one she held with pride, creating a warm and welcoming environment for all who entered her home.

Eva is survived by her son, James Pittock; grandsons, Grayson, Hayden, Brennan and Dane Pittock; daughter-in-law, Jody Pittock; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; brothers, Harold, Danny, Norman, Bill and Kenny Young; sister, Mary Virginia Spithaler; her parents; and son, John “Jake” Pittock.

Eva will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and the deep bonds she formed with those around her. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.

PITTOCK — Visitation for Eva Jean Pittock, who died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2024, will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 4, 2024, at CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.

Funeral services will follow at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Slippery Rock Cemetery.
