Gayle Charlene Pollock, 88, of Butler, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 29, 2024, at Concordia of Fox Chapel.

Gayle was born May 15, 1936, to the late Harry and Gladys (Huselton) Watterson.

She was a graduate of Butler High School and was a member of Meridian Fife and Drum Corps, the Meridian Bowling League, as well as White Oak Springs Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed knitting, being in her flower garden, walking, traveling, camping, reading, puzzles, baking and spending time with her loving family.

Gayle is survived by her son, Doug (Nancy) Pollock, of Renfrew; her two daughters, Carrie Lachendro (Jeffrey Bader) of Butler and Becky McClelland of Chicora; her six grandchildren; her nine great-grandchildren; as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Gayle was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Willard B. Pollock, whom she married on Nov. 17, 1956, and who passed away on Feb. 22, 2022; her brother, George Watterson; her sister, Shirley Hillard; as well as her son-in-law, Stephen Lachendro.

POLLOCK — Friends of Gayle Charlene Pollock, who died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2024, will be received from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.

A funeral service will then be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Mary Kitchen officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Butler Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew, PA 16053.
