Jennifer L. Gilliland, 55, of Butler, passed peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday morning, Sept. 28, 2024, at UPMC Horizon — Greenville, following a brief illness.

Jennifer was born on Feb. 2, 1969, to David A. and Karen Sue (Morgan) Armstrong. She married John L. Gilliland on Sept. 7, 1991.

Jennifer was a graduate of Eben High School, Eben, Mich., in 1987.

She graduated from Crown College with a master’s in global leadership.

Jennifer was the most recent director of the Stan and Karen Johnson Office of Global Programs at Grove City College.

She was a member of Oak Hills Christian Church, Butler.

Jennifer knew the Lord and was a baptized believer of Christ. She loved her family including her special nieces and nephews.

Jennifer is survived by her husband, John at home; a son, John L. Gilliland III of Butler; her mother, Karen Domboski of Butler; stepmother, Margaret “Peggy” Armstrong of Turtle Creek; two sisters, Jamie (Jeffrey) Petroski of Greenville and Leanne Armstrong of Turtle Creek; and a brother, Eman (Allison Heather-Domboski) Domboski of Vineland, N.J.

Her father, David Armstrong, and her stepfather, James Domboski, preceded Jennifer in death.

GILLILAND — A memorial service for Jennifer L. Gilliland, who died Saturday morning, Sept. 28, 2024, will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Harbison Chapel at Grove City College, 100 Campus Drive, Grove City.

Arrangements by CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.
