Scialabba partnering with state treasurer to help residents recover unclaimed property
Rep. Stephenie Scialabba, R-12th, is partnering with state Treasurer Stacy Garrity to help residents recover unclaimed property at no cost, she announced Monday, Sep. 30.
Unclaimed property includes money left behind in old insurance policies, inactive bank accounts and uncashed checks.
“One in 10 Pennsylvanians has unclaimed property,” said Scialabba. “Butler County has over $24.5 million in unclaimed property, and this event will help return it to the rightful owners.”
On Tuesday, Oct. 8, a representative from the treasury department will be at Scialabba’s district office in the Cranberry Township Municipal Center, 2525 Rochester Road.
