LCE cites 2 county restaurants
The state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement cited two county restaurants in September.
The Hotel Saxonburg was cited for selling alcoholic beverages on July 2, 3, 5, 6 and 9 without authority because their license expired or was in safekeeping, and Fisher’s Bar and Restaurant in Zelienople was cited for failing to comply with an administrative law judge’s order for two previous citations mandating Responsible Alcohol Management Program (RAMP) certification from July 18 through Aug. 26.
Lee Uncapher, co-owner of the Hotel Saxonburg, said he and his business partner are cooperating with the state Liquor Control Board to resolve the citation.
“We’re working closely with the LCB and want to comply. We want to do what’s right. We didn’t do anything maliciously or on purpose,” Uncapher said.
A manager at Fisher’s declined to comment.
