Christopher Joel Schnelle died on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2024, at the age of 68. He was with his wife and youngest son at the time.

Chris was born in New Castle on Jan. 21, 1956, to Arthur and Thelma Schnelle. He lived in Portersville until moving his family to Dunnellon, Fla., in 1990.

He had multiple careers during his life. After welding, then driving truck, he retired as a CDL instructor in 2014. He loved to shoot, garden and play with his grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Chris was a devoted Christian, husband, father, grandfather, brother and son. He dedicated his life to his family and to Christ.

Chris is survived by his wife, Virginia; four children; five grandchildren; and two brothers.
