Elon Musk urges rally attendees to ‘vote, vote, vote’ during rally for Trump at farm show grounds
Elon Musk urged those at the campaign rally for former President Donald Trump on Saturday, Oct. 5, to register to vote in the upcoming November election.
The owner of several technology companies, including the social media platform X, Musk was called on stage while Trump addressed the crowd at the Butler Farm Show grounds in Connoquenessing Township — the same venue where shots were fired at the Republican presidential candidate during a July 13 rally.
“This election could be decided by 1,000 votes, 500 votes, a tiny margin,” Musk said, asking people to “be a pest to everyone you know.”
As he spoke to the crowd, which gathered at the farm show grounds from across the nation, he noted that people in Georgia and Arizona had only two days left to register to vote. The deadline in Pennsylvania is Oct. 21.
“President Trump must win to preserve the Constitution; he must win to preserve democracy in America,” Musk said. “This is a must-win situation.”
He then offered a dark prediction that if Trump isn’t elected, “this will be the last election,” without offering an explanation of why he believes that.
Musk said a true test of someone’s character is how they handle themselves while under fire. Trump experienced just that, he said.
“So who do you want representing America?” Musk said.
Later, as Trump spoke, he promised, if elected, the country would “reach Mars” by the end of his term with Musk’s help. Musk wore a T-shirt reading, “Occupy Mars” at the rally.
Musk encouraged everyone to vote, even asking the crowd to pull out their phones and text others now with reminders to register prior to deadlines.
“And make sure they actually do vote,” he said.
He wrapped up his remarks by changing the words to what’s become a common chant among Trump’s supporters, “Fight, fight, fight!”
“Vote, vote, vote!” Musk said.
