Lara Trump says she anticipated Trump’s return to Butler County prior to campaign rally announcement
Lara Trump, co-chairwoman of the Republican National Committee, said she knew her father-in-law Donald Trump would return to Butler County before he made the announcement, noting that he operates with “strength and faith.”
Speaking at the campaign rally Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Butler Farm Show grounds, she said the November election features a choice between “good and evil” rather than Republicans and Democrats.
“And good is going to win,” she said.
She also said that God spared the former president’s life on July 13 because “he was not finished with Donald Trump.”
Donald Trump’s son, Eric Trump took the stage with his wife, Lara.
“The Democratic Party can’t do anything right,” Eric Trump said.
His speech pointed to concerns about what he called a lack of financial support for victims of Hurricane Helene.
“We send $200 billion over to Ukraine so beautiful young kids can shoot at each other in trenches,” Eric Trump said. “We give hundreds, if not billions to Pakistan … This isn’t America first, it’s America last.”
Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential candidate, had mentioned giving $750 to the hurricane victims during a recent speech in Augusta, Fla. Her words sparked outrage from political opponents who have indicated that the $750 is the only assistance offered by the country to people impacted by the hurricane.
Others who spoke after 5 p.m. when Trump was first intended to take the stage included Scott Presler, conservative activist, and Steve Witkoff, real estate investor and CEO of the Witkoff Group, who said he has witnessed Trump’s “strength and commitment” as a “dear friend” of the former president.
“While the media paints him as tough, they don’t show how deeply he cares,” he said.
