Broman

William F. “Bill” Broman Jr., 73, of Butler, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024.

Born Oct. 14, 1950, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Marlene (Grimes) Broman and the late William F. Broman Sr.

Bill was a graduate of Knoch High School, and went on to attend Grand Rapids Bible College and then Slippery Rock University, where he earned a Bachelor of Education. He worked and retired from Bechtel Plant Machinery in Monroeville, Pa.

Bill attended Community Alliance Church in Butler. He belonged to the Sunset Golf League and enjoyed golfing and family vacations to North Myrtle Beach. Most of all, Bill loved his family and adored spending time with them and going to all his grandkids’ events and activities.

Bill is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Ellen (Dean) Broman, whom he married on Jan. 10, 1970; two sons, Bill (Amy) Broman and Chad (Francine) Broman; daughter, Stacey (Sean) Curran; four grandchildren, Jake (Carissa), Emma, Tanner and Daisy; two stepgrandchildren, Julianna and Valerie; mother, Marlene Broman; sister, Jill (Bob) Cavalero; brother, Brad (Marcia) Broman; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Jay Broman.

BROMAN — Family and friends of William F. “Bill” Broman Jr., who died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct., 14, at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, at the funeral home with Pastor Dave Maitland, of First Baptist Church, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Bill's name may be made to the Family Life Center at First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., Butler, PA 16001.
