Butler County football roundup Week 8: Amos Glenn, Drew Ross power Freeport past Hopewell

Freeport extended its winning streak outside of Allegheny 7 Conference play, topping host Hopewell 35-25 Friday.

The Yellowjackets trailed 19-7 in the third quarter before Amos Glenn and Drew Ross both scored a pair of rushing touchdowns to earn for Freeport its fourth straight win.

Ross, who scored three touchdowns in the game, rushed for 109 yards while Glenn amassed 125 yards on 23 carries.

Freeport (6-2, 3-1) dives back into conference play by visiting East Allegheny next Friday.

Karns City 65, Bradford 6 — The Gremlins scored 60-plus points for the second straight week and improved to 5-2 (4-2 District 9, Region 1). No other details were available.

They face Keystone at home in Week 9.

Titusville 42, Slippery Rock 0 — The Rockets fell to 2-6 (1-3 District 10, Region 4). No other details were available.

They face Hickory in the final home game of the season next week.
