Douglas “Doug” Z. Ritzert, 70, of Chicora, passed away on Monday, Sept. 30, 2024.

He was born in Butler on Nov. 16, 1953, to the late Victor and Phyllis (Moser) Ritzert.

Doug graduated from Butler Senior High School and started his employment by doing construction, before working at Koppers/Indspec Chemical Corporation, where he retired after 34 years.

He was known for being a good brother and uncle and a very caring person. Doug loved all kinds of music and going to concerts; he also enjoyed cars, trucks and motorcycles.

He was the brother of Dennis V. and Debra K. Ritzert; uncle of Kevin (Rebecca) Ritzert and Brianne (Justin) Wilson; and great-uncle of Vaughn, Gavin and Siena Wilson.

RITZERT — All services for Douglas “Doug” Z. Ritzert, who died Monday, Sept. 30, 2024, were held privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.
