Edward A. Bartholomew, 80, of West Sunbury, passed away the morning of Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024.

Born on Feb. 15, 1944, in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Elmer C. and Edna E. (Patterson) Bartholomew.

Ed was a member of West Sunbury United Presbyterian Church. He was an avid car and motorcycle enthusiast. He loved bowling and was dedicated to his weekly bowling league at the Sherwood Senior League. He loved animals and animals loved him. He loved tinkering in his garage. Ed will always be remembered for his joy in making people laugh.

Ed is survived by his wife, Kathy (Heck) Bartholomew, whom he married on May 22, 1965; his daughter, Holly (Russ) Collins of Karns City; his son, Keith Bartholomew (Laura Czzowitz and son, Kyle) of West Sunbury; three granddaughters, Courtney Collins (Mark), Kayla Collins and Karley Collins (Donovan and son, Maverick); two stepgrandchildren, Nathan (Heather) Hoshak and Ashley Hoshak; and his sister, Edie Meiss of Sharpsville and her family.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Olivia Grace Bartholomew; and brother-in-law, Al Meiss.

BARTHOLOMEW — Family and friends of Edward A. Bartholomew, who died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024, will be received for a memorial visitation from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday Oct. 27, at West Sunbury United Presbyterian Church, 215 E. Church St., West Sunbury. A memorial service will follow at 3:30 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Mark S. Davis, HR, officiating.

The Young family of WILLIAM F. YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, West Sunbury, has assisted the family with arrangements.
