Police Reports

The following items were collected from various police departments:

Adams Twp

Sept. 19 — Megan Weissert, 35, of Mars, was charged misdemeanor counts of evidence tampering, drug and drug paraphernalia possession related to an Aug. 23 traffic stop. Police said they seized Weissert’s vehicle because of a marijuana smell. Police said the next day Weissert lied while trying to get her car out of holding before they searched it. Police said they later found marijuana in various forms, a psilocybin candy bar, a vape pen and adderall.

Sept. 18 — Nicholas A. Williams, 32, of Mars, was charged with one misdemeanor count of possessing fake documents related to a Sept. 13 traffic stop. Police said during the stop, they discovered the license plate was fake and made of laminated paper.

Butler Twp

Sept. 12 — Justin X. Selfridge, 30, of Indiana, Pa., was charged with misdemeanor counts of criminal conspiracy and theft from a vehicle related to an Aug. 24 reported theft on Main Street. Police said Selfridge stole $2 out of a vehicle.

Sept. 11 — Brianna N. O’Malley, 29, of Butler, was charged with two sets of felony retail theft counts stemming from separate incidents on Sept. 6. Police said at 1:03 p.m. O’Malley stole food, batteries and other items, valued at $567, from Giant Eagle in Butler Township. Police said at 1:59 p.m. O’Malley stole grocery items, valued at $43, from Walmart.

Butler County Sheriff

Sept. 19 — Dilbert D. Fairweather, 41, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor counts of drug and drug paraphernalia possession related to an Aug. 30 arrest on separate matters in Connoquenessing Township. Police said during the arrest, they found cocaine, marijuana, a glass pipe and razor blades in the vehicle Fairweather was using.

Cranberry Twp

Sept. 20 — Ralph K. Swackhammer III, 35, of Chicago, Ill., was charged with misdemeanor DUI related to a Sept. 20 traffic stop on Route 228. Police said field sobriety tests showed Swackhammer was impaired. He later refused to have his blood tested.

Middlesex Twp

Sept. 18 — Theresa M. Ellis, 34, of Gibsonia, was charged with misdemeanor counts of drug and drug paraphernalia possession related to an Aug. 12 disturbance on Overbrook Road. Police said while investigating, they found Ellis with meth, a pipe and crystal meth in her bag.

Slippery Rock

Sept. 22 — Gavin C. Benson, 22, of Waynesburg, Pa., was charged with misdemeanor DUI related to a traffic stop at the intersection of Morrow Way and Campus Drive. Police said field sobriety tests showed Benson was impaired, and a later breath test showed his blood-alcohol content at 0.120%. In Pennsylvania, 0.08% is the legal limit.

Sept. 22 — Isabella G. Matsook, 19, of Rochester, Pa., was charged with misdemeanor DUI related to a Sept. 8 traffic stop on New Castle Street. Police said field sobriety tests showed Matsook was impaired, and a later breath test showed her blood-alcohol at 0.086%. In Pennsylvania, 0.08% is the legal limit.

Slippery Rock University

Sept. 15 — Shyah M. Massie, 19, of Pittsburgh, was charged with misdemeanor criminal trespass related to a Sept. 15 incident. Police said Massie was issued a no-trespass order Sept 2. Police aid they found her on campus around 10:22 p.m. Sept. 15.
