Moniteau recognized for feeding students
Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank recognized 34 schools and community organizations as Child Hunger Heroes this fall, including Moniteau School District.
The Child Hunger Hero Award Program is the food bank’s opportunity to commend food service professionals for their work to feed children. The food bank recognizes the huge amount of work that goes into creating healthy meals for children.
Moniteau received the bronze level recognition after being evaluated on its involvement in programs including school meals, summer food, after school meals, weekend backpacks and school pantry programs, according to the food bank.
