King

Marilyn Kay King, 74, of Butler, passed away Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024, at Rochester Manor, Rochester, Pa.

Born June 29, 1950, in New Eagle, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Paul and Catherine (Adamcik) Popik.

Marilyn retired from South Butler County School District as a teacher. She earned her bachelor’s degree in education at Slippery Rock College. She later received her master’s degree from Duquesne University. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church in Lyndora.

Surviving are her son, Aaron James Rusz (Kelly), and granddaughter, Abigail Marian Rusz; her daughter, Tamara Marie Rusz; and her niece, Shannon (Popik) Hampson; as well as a great-niece and great-nephew.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Anthony Popik.

KING — Private services for Marilyn Kay King, who died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024, were held at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler; interment was at Our Lady of Hope Cemetery in Tarentum.
