Shane Nolan

Nolan

Shane T. Nolan, 51, of Chicora, went to be with the Lord while in the company of his loving wife and family Monday, Oct. 14, 2024, at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh, from injuries he sustained in an unfortunate accident.

Shane was born at the Patuxent River Naval Base in Patuxent, Md., on July 11, 1973. He was the son of Victor Nolan and Connie Westfall.

He was a 1991 graduate of Karns City Area High School and had earned an associate degree in computer aided drafting from Butler County Community College. He was a member of Holy Trintiy Lutheran Church in Chicora. Shane had been employed for many years at Amsi-Us LLC in Harmony and was most recently the company’s vice president of operations. He was a co-owner of Foundry Sand Service in Sebring, Ohio, a consultant to RAMM Metal Supply in Birmingham, Ala., and was a partner in All Metals Inc. in Chicora.

Shane’s favorite day of the week was Sunday. He had a well-known sweet tooth. Shane enjoyed tinkering and fabricating in his garage, racing, trips to the beach, working with his John Deere tractor and riding his Harley Davidson. Shane had a special bond with his mother, and enjoyed the company of his family. Shane had a compassionate heart and would routinely take in “strays,” both people and pets.

Shane is survived by his wife, Amanda L. Sellers Nolan of Chicora; his father, Victor Nolan of Chicora; his mother and stepfather, Connie and William Westfall of Franklin; his four children, Kyle T. Nolan and his wife, Samantha, of Herman, Mason P. Nolan and his fiancée, Ashley Keibler, of Chicora, Cassidy L. Nolan of Pittsburgh, and Jaden D. Nolan of Chicora; a brother, Shawn P. Nolan of Franklin; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Eric and Cathy Sellers of New Castle; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Adam and Jaclyn Sellers of Rockville, Md., and Matthew and Rachel Sellers of Boardman, Ohio; as well as a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Shane was an organ donor and selflessly provided the gift of life to many people.
