State Rep. Aaron Bernstine, R-10th, is giving the people of Butler County a chance to dispose of unwanted personal documents with a free shredding event on Saturday, Oct. 26, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Forward Township municipal building on Ash Stop Road.

The shredding event is mainly intended for private documents that people may want to destroy. Residents are asked not to bring items such as old phone books, magazines or junk mail, as these can simply be recycled.

No advance registration is required to participate.
