Butler County's great daily newspaper

Lennen would bring fresh ideas to Harrisburg

Kate Lennen is an attorney running for state Senate, serving municipalities of southern Butler County. Lennen is a new face, with new energy. The incumbent is Elder Vogel of Beaver County, who has held the position for more than a decade.

Vogel was persuaded to run again to assure Republicans of continued Senate control. They have a three-seat advantage in the Senate. Lennen will bring years of legal experience, ideas and a new look to the upper house of the Pennsylvania Assembly.

In many ways, Pennsylvania policies lag. For example, the Pennsylvania School Code in effect today is dated 1949. Your school district is governed by policies and appropriations of another time.

Kate Lennen can make a difference! The 47th state Senate District includes Cranberry, Adams and Jackson townships and Zelienople, Harmony, Mars, Evans City, Valencia, Callery, and Seven Fields boroughs.
