The Tri-County Workforce Investment Board is offering a continuing education course for first responders, entitled “Recovery, Resiliency, and Person-First Language for First Responders,” on Nov. 7 at Butler Memorial Hospital.

This course will train first responders on the importance of “person-first” communication when working with those suffering from substance-use disorders. The course is free to attend and offers continuing education credits. Priority seating will be reserved for first responders working in Butler, Armstrong and Indiana counties until Thursday.
