Susan M. Theiss, 76, formerly of Mars, passed away Monday, Oct. 14, 2024, while under the care of Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Pittsburgh, Susan was the daughter of William Meals and Elizabeth Parker Meals.

Susan worked as a nurse’s aide at St. John Specialty Care Center.

She is survived by two sons, William (Tonya) Kaib of Gibsonia and Jayson Kaib of Mars; five brothers, Thomas Meals (Eileen) of Harrisburg, Timothy Meals (Sherry) of Elizabeth, Terrence Meals of Gibsonia, Todd Meals (Linda) of Mars and Ted Meals (Nancy) of Monaca; and her grandchildren, Joshuah and Alexah Kaib.

In addition to her parents, Susan is preceded in death by husband, Gary R. Theiss; her sister, Sara Jo Meals; and her grandson, Zachariah Kaib.

THEISS — Friends of Susan M. Theiss, who died Monday, Oct. 14, 2024, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, 2024, at the MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave. Mars.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 25, 2024, at Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church, 1304 E. Cruikshank Road, Butler. Everyone please meet at the church.

Burial will follow at the Evans City Cemetery.
