Dorothy Croupe

Dorothy K. Croupe, of Cabot, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2024, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Dorothy was born Dec. 19, 1927, in Pittsburgh, to the late Norman E. Klinzing and Florence E. (Klingler) Klinzing.

Dorothy was a graduate of Butler High School and Slippery Rock University in sociology. Dorothy was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority, Therapy Dogs Inc., Meals on Wheels and Luther’s Table. She worked as a social welfare worker in Butler, after retiring in 1996. Dorothy was a lifelong member of First English Lutheran Church, serving in many activities in the church.

Dorothy is survived by one loving son, Carl Robert Croupe of Los Angeles; one loving daughter, Mrs. Hamid (Wendy Anne) Naziri of Los Angeles; two cherished grandsons, Christopher Paul Croupe and Cameron Paul Naziri; two cherished great-grandsons, William Clyde Croupe and Benjamin Paul Croupe; and a number of loved nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Clyde L. Croupe, whom she married on Dec. 27, 1947, and who passed away on Dec. 20, 2014; one loving son, Clyde Paul Croupe of Silver Spring, Md.; five sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Laboda, Mrs. Carl (Joan) Youngquist, Mrs. George (Muriel) Church, Mrs. Edward (Helen) Stewart and Mrs. Robert (Dee) Brandberg; and one brother, Paul R. Eisler.

CROUPE — There will be no public visitation for Dorothy K. Croupe, who died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2024.

A private family memorial service will be held in the memorial garden at First English Lutheran Church in Butler.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the donor’s favorite charity or the Butler Humane Society, 1027 Evans City Road, Renfrew, PA 16053, or First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., Butler, PA 16001.

Arrangements have been entrusted to THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.
