No injuries reported following large fight in Butler’s Rotary Park

Butler police expect to file charges against several people following a large fight Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 22, in Rotary Park that drew a significant police response.

Capt. James Hollobaugh said no one was injured, but several people were detained and charges for disrupting the public will be filed against multiple people.

He said police are investigating the cause of the melee and looking into 911 calls about weapons being involved. No weapons were recovered at the scene, police said.

Numerous police officers from the city, Butler and Penn townships and state police responded to the park around 4 p.m. They cleared the scene around 4:40 p.m.
