Driver injured after dump truck overturns on Route 356 in Jefferson Township

The driver of a dump truck was transported to Butler Memorial Hospital after his truck overturned Wednesday morning, Oct. 23, on Route 356 in Jefferson Township.

The dump truck was on its side in a yard in front of a house on Route 356, near the intersection with Fisher Road. Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company directed traffic at the scene as a tow truck righted the vehicle, which left a crater in the yard Wednesday morning.

State police also responded to the scene, which was reported shortly after 10:30 a.m. The tow truck took the dump truck from the scene a little after 11:30 a.m., and regular traffic flow on Route 356 resumed shortly afterward.
