Richard Fuechslin

Fuechslin

Richard “Dick” Francis Fuechslin, 82, of Cranberry Township, passed peacefully on Sunday, Oct. 20, 2024.

Born in the North Hills section of Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Francis and Dorothy (Pegher) Fuechslin.

Mr. Fuechslin was a heavy equipment mechanic with Highway Equipment Co. for 30 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving six years active duty. He continued his military service and retired as a senior master sergeant with the U.S. Air Force, proudly serving for 30 years. His most recent employer was Cox Automotive, working as a driver for the Manheim Auction in Cranberry Township.

Dick was a lifelong car enthusiast who built and showed several classic cars over the years and, of course, a die-hard Steelers fan. In his retirement years, he enjoyed spending time with his family and volunteering with the NWPA Steam Show. He was a member of Divine Grace Parish, St. Ferdinand Roman Catholic Church.

Mr. Fuechslin is survived by his wife of 58 years, Charlotte; his daughter, Staci (Matt) Thayer; son, Richard (Kristen) Fuechslin Jr.; grandchildren, Matthew and Samuel Thayer and Seth and Shannon Fuechslin; his brothers, Robert (Marie) Fuechslin and Donald (Rebecca) Fuechslin; sister, Suzanne (John) McGinley; several nieces and nephews; and many cousins.
