The North Catholic girls tennis team advanced to the PIAA Class 2A semifinals with a 3-1 win over Lancaster Country Day on Friday.

Trojanettes’ freshman Evelyn Marche won No. 3 singles 6-3, 6-1, and North Catholic got a pair of tandem victories, as well. Those winning duos were Katie Hardy and Jessica Sinclair (6-1, 6-0) and Ava Conley and Macaria Stall (6-0, 6-2).

The Trojanettes move on to play Lower Moreland, a state finalist last year, on Saturday morning.
