Pickleball courts should be open to all
In response to “Pickleball popularity hits fever pitch in Cranberry,” (Oct. 20, page D8) I am a resident that agrees with Jim Charles. Our tax dollars are being used to support a private pickleball club in our public park.
I find it curious that the township provides public basketball courts, public tennis courts along with horseshoe pits and bocce courts but the public is virtually shut out of using the pickleball courts, unless you are a dues paying member of the almighty “association.”
What is stopping the township from building a few pickleball courts at Graham Park that are truly for public use? I'll tell you why, the township supervisors sold out to the Cranberry Township Pickleball Association instead of making decisions for all the residents of Cranberry.
