AHN offers way to dispose of unused, expired medications

AHN offers a year-round solution for people to dispose of unused and expired medications through its network of drug take-back boxes at nine locations.

The boxes accept unused or expired prescription medications including Schedule II-V controlled substances, over-the-counter medications and pet medication.

Items not permitted to be placed in the take-back boxes are Schedule I controlled substances, illegal drugs, thermometers, aerosol cans, inhalers, needles, lotions, liquids and hydrogen peroxide.

The boxes are at AHN Cancer Institute, 160 Hollywood Drive, Butler and at AHN Grove City, 631 N. Broad Street Extension.
