In the heart of a community where the need for mental health support has never been greater, MHY Family Services is embarking on an inspiring journey of growth and transformation.

Driven by a passion for helping children and families, the organization is expanding its services to better meet community needs and enhance its overall impact. This dynamic evolution is reshaping the landscape of mental health care, positioning MHY as a beacon of hope and resilience for those it serves.

A notable development has been the expansion of the Multisystemic Therapy (MST) program, with MHY adding new initiatives in Cameron and Elk counties in northern Pennsylvania, as well as four additional counties in eastern Pennsylvania. This strategic growth enhances its ability to provide tailored support to families in these regions, ensuring that more adolescents have access to effective mental health interventions.

Currently, MHY’s Longmore Academy serves over 100 students in first through 12th grades from 29 regional school districts, demonstrating its commitment to providing accessible, individualized therapeutic and behavioral support services. Longmore’s highly trained educators have crafted essential programs, including autistic support, career readiness, and life skills, all aimed at enhancing students' social and emotional well-being as well as their academic success.

Additionally, MHY is thrilled to announce the opening of a new sensory-friendly, inclusive playground this year, made possible by the generous support of its donors and community partners. Affectionately known as “The Park” by students, this vibrant play space has quickly become a daily highlight, fostering social interaction and helping children build friendships while developing essential social skills in a safe environment.

As MHY continues to grow, it remains dedicated to supporting children and families in need. By expanding programs like MST and enhancing school initiatives, it is better equipped to meet the diverse needs of the community. These efforts enable MHY to make a meaningful impact, ensuring every child and family has the resources to heal and thrive.
