Harris and Trump to stop in Pittsburgh as they end their campaigns in Pa.

WASHINGTON — Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump plan rallies in Pittsburgh on Monday as both candidates spend the final day before Election Day in the most populous battleground state.

Harris, who began her presidential campaign in Pennsylvania, is making the Keystone State the final stop on a tour of all seven swing states that began Thursday in Arizona and Nevada. She’s in Wisconsin Friday, Georgia and North Carolina on Saturday and Michigan on Sunday.

She is to start the final day of the 2024 campaign in Allentown in the Lehigh Valley, one of the swingiest parts of the Keystone State, before traveling to Pittsburgh and then ending the day in Philadelphia, site of her initial rally with Democratic vice-presidential nominee Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz back in August.

The rally will include a concert and take place at Point State Park from 3 to 7 p.m., according to KDKA-TV.

Trump has a rally planned for Monday at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh as part of his final-day tour of the Keystone State, according to a campaign official. He’s also scheduled to campaign that day in Reading, the official said, speaking on condition of anonymity in advance of an official announcement.

Polls show Pennsylvania a dead heat between Trump and Harris, and the winner of the state’s 19 electoral votes is likely to be the next president. Trump carried the Keystone State in 2016, ending a streak of six consecutive Democratic victories, while President Joe Biden, a native of Scranton, won it back in 2020.

Biden kicked off his 2020 campaign in Pittsburgh and ended it with a rally at what was then Heinz Field, with Lady Gaga performing. Harris campaigned in Philadelphia that day.

In 2016, Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton joined President Barack Obama, first lady Michelle Obama, former President Bill Clinton and musicians Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi at a rally and concert outside of Independence Hall in Philadelphia. Trump campaigned in Scranton.
