Dennis Voit

Dennis Voit, 72, of Slippery Rock, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2024. He was born in Pittsburgh on Jan. 10, 1952, and was the son of the late Laverne and Betty Jane (Hartman) Voit.

Dennis worked as a conductor for Norfolk Southern Railroad for 40 years until he retired in 2014. He was known for being a “man's man,” a hard worker who always provided for his family. Dennis was a lover of the outdoors, hunting, fishing and, of course, a Miller Lite and a shot of ginger brandy.

Dennis was the beloved husband of the late Dr. Jennifer Voit, his high school sweetheart whom he married on July 1, 1976, until her passing on Oct. 16, 2023; father of Lisa Marie (Mick) Kendrick, Christina Voit and Autumn (Donny) Copper; brother of James Voit and Elaine (Brian) Miller; and grandfather of Maddison Voit, Mallory, Maizie and Maeryn Kendrick, Max, Miles and Jackson Copper, and Alysa, Austin, Adalyn and Anna Weaver.

Along with his parents and wife, Dennis was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne (Jay) Voit.

VOIT — A celebration of life for Dennis Voit, who died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2024, will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, 2024, at the Butler Moose Lodge 64, 225 W. Jefferson St., Butler.
