Dennis Voit, 72, of Slippery Rock, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2024.

He was born in Pittsburgh on Jan. 10, 1952, to the late Laverne and Betty Jane (Hartman) Voit.

Dennis worked as a conductor for Norfolk Southern Railroad for 40 years until he retired in 2014. He was known for being a “man’s man,” a hard worker who always provided for his family. Dennis was a lover of the outdoors, hunting and fishing, and of course, a Miller Lite and a shot of ginger brandy.

Dennis was the beloved husband of the late Dr. Jennifer Voit, his high school sweetheart whom he married on July 1, 1976, until her passing on Oct. 16, 2023; father of Lisa Marie (Mick) Kendrick, Christina Voit and Autumn (Donny) Copper; brother of James Voit and Elaine (Brian) Miller; and grandfather of Maddison Voit, Mallory, Maizie and Maeryn Kendrick, Max, Miles and Jackson Copper, Alysa, Austin, Adalyn and Anna Weaver.

Along with his parents and wife, Dennis was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne (Jay) Voit.

VOIT — All arrangements for Dennis Voit, who died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2024, were made privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.

A celebration of life will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at Butler Moose Lodge 64, 225 W. Jefferson St., Butler.
