Allegheny Township man charged with child pornography

Paul W. Blauser, 42, of Allegheny Township, was arrested Thursday, Oct. 31, and charged with 28 felony counts of child pornography and one felony count of criminal use of a communication facility, after state police accused him of downloading images showing the sexual exploitation of children.

Police identified Blauser’s home as the location the account was connected to. A search was performed on Blauser’s home on Aug. 21, where he admitted that he used his phone to search for pornography online and that he had an interest in child pornography, court documents state.

In total, 14 images of child sexual exploitation were found on Blauser’s phone. Another 14 were found in Blauser’s cloud account through an earlier search warrant.

Blauser’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 19, in front of District Judge Lewis Stoughton. He was released on $100,000 unsecured bail.
