Betty S. Eakin, 79, of Butler, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024, at UPMC Passavant-McCandless.

She was born Sept. 20, 1945, in Miami, Fla., the daughter of the late Charlotte Urey.

Betty was a member of Church of God at Connoquenessing. She enjoyed traveling, tennis, riding bikes, singing, going on adventures and especially spending time with her kids and grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband, Tom Eakin, whom she married June 8, 1993; three children, John (Penny) Smith of Snow Camp, N.C., Stacie (David DuVall) Stocker of Phoenix, Ariz., and Brian (Autumn) Smith of Franklin; her grandchildren, Ashley Perry, John Smith, Michael and Bailey Stocker, Domonique and Dakota DuVall, and Samantha and Barrett Smith; and a niece and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother and her daughter, Suzanne Smith.

EAKIN — Friends of Betty S. Eakin, who died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11, at the Church of God at Connoquenessing, 1247 Evans City Road, Connoquenessing.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, at the church, with Pastor Keith Karns officiating.

Interment will follow in the Evans City Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.
