Wayne Brumagin

Wayne P. Brumagin, 85, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family in Butler on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024.

He was born on Oct. 29, 1939, to the late Everett D. Brumagin and Marjorie (Raun) Brumagin in Union City, Pa. Wayne was an only child. He played football and graduated from Strong Vincent High School in Erie, Class of 1958.

He was retired Navy and a member of the DAV and American Legion. He worked as and later retired as the assistant chief medical administrator for the VA.

Wayne was a kind and sensitive man who loved all kinds of animals but especially pigs, camels and llamas. He donated to many charities monthly, including a pig sanctuary.

He leaves behind his three children, George D. Brumagin, Gayle (James) A. Brumagin, and Theresa A. Burd; his grandchildren, Crystal G. Irwin, Emma (Nathan) L. Burd, Jay Rory W. Burd and Alyssa R. Burd; as well as several fur babies, who will surely miss him.

Along with his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Mary J (Morgan) Brumagin; and a son-in-law, Ryan Burd.

BRUMAGIN — Family and friends of Wayne P. Brumagin, who died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler. Funeral prayers with full military honors will immediately follow.
